Can you truly learn piano online instead of in person? - YES! I have been able to help many students learn online in an approachable, comprehensive, and fun way! Online lessons are just as effective!
Is FB Music Academy an accredited institution? - No, it's not accredited.
Is there a contract associated with my membership? - No, there's no contract, you may subscribe and unsubscribe as you wish.
How long are the coaching sessions? - The live group sessions are for 2 hours, and any 1 on 1 sessions will be for an hour each.
Are the sessions beginner friendly? - YES! Anyone of any skill level is welcome to join. No need to feel intimidated whatsoever. There's something for everybody!
Am I too old to learn piano? - ABSOLUTELY NOT! Anyone can learn to play no matter your age. It's never too late to try something new!
What equipment do I need to participate? - All you need is a reliable keyboard, internet connection, and a Zoom account for all sessions. Zoom is a free video conferencing app for Mac, PC, iOS and Android
Meet Your Instructor, Freddie Banks
I'm a musician from the midwest. My love for music began at age 8 when my mom bought me a keyboard for Christmas. I started to learn the basics of music completely by ear, playing along with what I saw and heard on the radio and TV.
I began playing in my church when I was 16, and my roots are in gospel music, but I've ventured out and explored other genres such as r&b, pop, rock, soul, and singer-songwriter, and everything in between, in hopes of becoming the most versatile keyboardist.
I won't say it's always been easy, but I have been able to hone in and build, and I didn't always have the help I needed, but I was determined to grow to play various styles and gigs, and have also been fortunate to record remotely as a session musician for writers worldwide.
The good part?
I get to pass everything along now to YOU!

It is now my goal and privilege to share my knowledge with you, and help you to learn the piano in the easiest ways possible. I'm passionate about helping people overcome obstacles, and grow to their fullest potential in their craft.
